Spring 2012 Update

Open Every Stat Holiday this Summer

Now that Spring is here, we won't be taking any days off until the end of Summer. That means we will be open on every statutory holday, 7 days a week, until October.

Summer Store Hours

Now that the weather is co-operating, and we've gained an extra hour of sunlight, it's once again time for Sharecost to be open 7 days a week. We've also extended our store hours by an extra hour, Monday through Saturday, to better serve you.

The following store hours are in effect:

  Weekdays: 7:00am – 5:30pm
  Saturday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
  Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Now Open Sundays

Sharecost is now open 7 days a week.

We will continue to be open 7 days a week, from Monday to Sunday, all Spring and Summer long.

Pick-Up Truck Delivery Fee Price Drop

As of March 19th, 2012, we have lowered the local delivery fee on our 3/4 tonne pick-up truck from $30 to $15.

This is great news for anyone who owns a car that needs to rent equipment like aerators, rototillers, sod-cutters, pressure washers, or any other rental item that doesn't fit in anything but a truck.

We hope that by lowering our round-trip rate in half – from $60 to $30 – it will be more feasible for everyone to get the rental tool they need, regardless of what they drive!

Please note that this rate does not apply to delivery of heavy equipment, such as skid-steer loaders, mini-excavators, or scissor lifts. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call us at (250) 758-2401.

Our Overnight Rate

Working in the evenings? Don't forget that you are able to rent ANY piece of equipment overnight, return it the next morning, and only pay the 4-hour rate. Great deal for those after-work projects!

Here's how the overnight rate works:

  Monday–Thursday: Pick up after 2:00pm, return the next day by 8:30am
  Friday: Pick up after 2:00pm, return Saturday by 9:00am
  Saturday: Pick up after 1:00pm, return Sunday by 11:00am
  Sunday: Pick up after 12:00pm, return Monday by 8:30am

We are conveniently located in Central Nanaimo at 1716 Northfield Road. You can access Northfield Road from the Old Island Highway or Bowen Road; there is also a Northfield Road exit off of the Nanaimo Parkway.

We're located closest to the Island Highway end of Northfield, in-between the European Car Specialty shop and the Nanaimo Super-Shine Car Wash.

Once you've found our blue and red sign and the colourful mural on our fence, you'll know you're in the right spot.
